The proportion of Internet users increased from 16% in 2001
to 20% in 2002, which shows a recovery after the economic crisis in 2001.
Internet usage is higher among the younger age group (<29 age
group).
Internet cafes are the main places for Internet access (10%
among whole population or 49% among Internet population). Second favourite place
of access is home (5% among whole population or 25% among Internet population).
The ratio of online shopping in the last 4 weeks is 3% among
Internet users, which has not changed significantly compared to previous years.
Difficulty / Lack of knowledge and security are the main
barriers for online shopping.
