Title : Technological energy scheme for co-generation on lignite coal and internal heat consumption
Type Details : Co-generation of electricity and heat energy could be achieved and further expanded through creation of internal for the scheme heat consumption.
The lignite coal having high level of moisture ( ) , used as energy fuel, could be dried up through extracted steam from the turbine, instead of this, by the fuel preparation and combustion process. This scheme, except for creating conditions for co-generation in the steam turbine, also creates possibilities for more successful application of the FBC technologies in the burning process, which are also applicable to the technologies for SO2 reduction in the furnace gases for this coal type. A modification of this scheme has been successfully tested in Bulgaria. The proposed scheme could be included in the FP 6th thematic priority 6.1.3.2.2. Polygeneration. Except for the expected energy efficiency improvement, it is also envisaged to have ecological impact.
